Glenda Tate

Glenda K. Tate, age 80, of Diamond, MO, passed away on Friday January 3, 2025, at Freeman Hospital, following a long illness.

Glenda was born on December 13, 1944, in Carthage, MO, the daughter of the late Clarence “Kelly” Butts and Doris (Albott) Butts. She married Jack Mosley and together they were blessed with two children. He preceded her in death at a very young age. She then married Kelley Tate on October 26, 1973, in Duenweg, MO. 






She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a longtime member of the Saginaw Baptist Church. She was an accomplished oil painter. She learned from a world-renowned artist, Doug Hall. She loved painting American Indians and horses.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Kelley Tate, Diamond, MO; two sons Richard Mosley, Diamond, MO, and Tracy Tate and wife Christina, Duenweg, MO; two daughters, Kelly Kay and fiancé Gary Carter, Stella, MO, and Tara Stanley and husband Chuck, Girard, KS; one sister, Yulonda Freed and husband Frank, Joplin; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.








A Graveside Committal of Ashes will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Spring Valley Cemetery near Tipton Ford, MO.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
