Kathy Domingue

Kathy Darlene Morris Domingue, age 68, of Reeds, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, following a recent decline in health. She entered this life on August 16, 1956, in Joplin, Missouri, to the union of the late George Morris, Sr. and Dollie (Lamb) Morris.

Kathy spent her formative years in her hometown of Joplin, where she graduated from Memorial High School in 1974. Her journey took her to Enid and Canton, Oklahoma, before returning to Joplin two decades ago. Kathy's professional life was marked by her compassionate service to others. She drove a bus and taught at Head Start, touching the lives of many young children with her kindness and dedication. Her commitment to nurturing extended beyond her professional career as she took on the role of a professional Foster Parent, opening her heart and home to children in need.








Kathy's interests were a reflection of her creative and patient nature. She found joy in craft projects, where she could express her artistic side, and in the quiet concentration of assembling jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her two children, Brad Morris and Nicole Holly; a stepdaughter, Tandy Adams; six grandchildren; three brothers, George Morris, Jr. and wife, Loretta, Tony Morris, Sr. and wife, Margaret and Lawrence Morris and wife, Vicki; two sisters, Denise Thornton and husband, Jack and Tammy Greenwood and husband, Jerry; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.








Kathy's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of generosity, care, and the joy she found in simple pleasures. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her influence will continue to be felt through the values she instilled in her family and the countless lives she touched.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 in the chapel of Parker Mortuary with Jerry Greenwood officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the mortuary chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
