(From Clark Funeral Home)Kenneth Wayne Mahurin, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Neosho, Missouri, on January 9, 2025, following an illness. Born on January 18, 1937, in Barry County, Missouri, to Willard and Sarah (Crawford) Mahurin, Kenneth led a full and rewarding life.
In March of 1954, he married the love of his life, Esther (Watson) Mahurin, who preceded him in death. Kenneth worked as a skilled auto mechanic, dedicating years to his trade. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending Friday nights at the VFW, playing and listening to music, fishing, and occasional trips to the casino.
Kenneth is survived by his three children: Alan Mahurin and his partner Donna of Gravette, Arkansas; Andrea Sversvold and her husband John of Purdy, Missouri; and Lorri Mahurin of Neosho, Missouri. He leaves behind seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, including twin great-granddaughters who shared his birthday, and several great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Mahurin, and sisters Jane Vermillion, Wilma Hoover, Erma Bowling, Pat Lasiter, Marilyn Kyser, and Sue Owens.
In addition to his beloved wife Esther, Kenneth was preceded in death by his two daughters, Sharon Andrews and Diane Morgan, and two grandsons, David Mahurin and Adam Morgan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Granby Memorial Cemetery in Granby, Missouri.
