Ernest Paul "Ernie" Allgood, 84 years, of Pineville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.
Ernie was born on February 15, 1933 at Weippe, Idaho to the late Dwight Edward and Ruby (Ruble) Allgood. He married Dorothy Marie Lewis on November 6, 1953 in Washington. Ernie proudly served our country in the United States Army serving in the Korean war. He worked as a lumberjack, machinist and carpenter. Ernie really enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and dominoes. He never met a stranger and will be lovingly remembered as Grandpa Ernie to everyone.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Allgood of the home; four children, Dewey Allgood and wife Melanie of Twin Falls, Idaho and their children, Dusten and wife, Melissa, Stephanie, Amanda, Keegan and wife, Olivia, Julie Bruner and her son, Philip, Mike Allgood and wife, Cindy of Pineville, Missouri and their children, Jacob, Stacy and husband, Chris, Jeremy, Steven, Aaron and wife, Nicole, Shelly and husband, Jason, Rae Lynne Drake and husband, Robert of Pineville, Missouri and their children, Josh and wife, Corinne, Matt and wife, Lindsey, Ryan, Angela and husband, Jerod; 21 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Ernie.
Funeral services for Ernie Allgood will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Jamey Cope will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pineville Cemetery in Pineville, Missouri. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers, Dusten Allgood, Keegan Allgood, Philip Bruner, Jacob Allgood, Chris Lilly, Josh Drake, Matt Drake and Ryan Drake. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark funeral home. The family will receive friends at this time.
