(From Parker Mortuary)Betty Jane Greninger, 90, formerly of Joplin, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Betty was born March 28, 1931 at home in Carthage to Henry and Lorrine (Langley) Jenkins. She graduated from Carterville High School.
Following high school, Betty worked as an operator at Southwestern Bell.
On March 24, 1951, she married Calvin Greninger and together they had two children. She and Cal owned and operated Schnur Printing Company in Joplin for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1990. Alongside her husband, Betty was a member of the Joplin Elks Lodge #501 and also the Order of the Eastern Star of Missouri 177 Ruth Chapter. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cal, in 2007; and her son, Randall, in 2021.
She is survived by her daughter, Callee Greninger; two grandsons, John and Allan Greninger; one great-grandson, Jared Greninger; as well as a host of extended family.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City with Pastor Alan McCamey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
