(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Lois Alene Smith, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Friday, August 13, 2021, in her home at the age of 86.
She was born on May 30, 1935 in Stone County, MO to Rolla and Mable (Coker) Baker. Alene graduated from Hurley High School. She attended cosmetology school in Branson and worked as a Cosmetologist. Alene also had worked at Zenith and as Psych Tech.
She was united in marriage to Claudie Marion Lee Smith in 1995.
Alene was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Greenfield, and loved serving the Lord. She enjoyed shopping with her special niece, Anita Lowther, who was like a daughter to her. Alene adored her family and enjoyed spending time together
Preceding her in death were her parents, Rolla and Mable Baker; her husband, Claudie Smith; her son, Douglas Martin; three brothers, Junior Baker, Robert Baker, and William Baker; and one nephew, Jeff Baker.
Survivors include three step-daughters, Debra Chrisman and husband Larry, Connie Tuggle and husband Kennith, and Marsha Patterson and husband Randy; one step-son, Kenneth Smith and wife Marybelle; one brother, Wendell Baker; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Martin; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Baker; ten step-grandchildren; twenty-seven step-great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021, in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
