Ray Kingrey

Raymond Kingrey, age 89, of Cassville, Missouri, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Mr. Kingrey, son of Sidney and Minnie (Reed) Kingrey, was born at home on December 6, 1931, in Lawrence County, Ohio. 

 Subsequently graduating high school Ray enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country proudly. 

 
On December 13, 1952, he was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Moore in Columbus, Ohio; she preceded him in death on January 17, 2021.






 

Ray loved the Lord and was always eager to tell others about Him; he attended the Monett Church of the Nazarene. Ray was very loving and caring, never meeting a stranger, and always welcomed you with a warm hug. He farmed, enjoyed raising horses, and was over the maintenance department for the Purdy School district and retired after many years. Some of Ray’s favorite pastimes were working with his flowers and gardening. His family meant the world to him, and he was extremely proud of them. Ray was a dear friend to those who had the privilege of knowing him and will be greatly missed.

Survivors one daughter, Cheryl Williams and her husband Scott, of Cassville; three grandchildren, Scotty Hall and his wife Carla, of Cassville, Eric Hall, of Cassville, Kasey Hall and her husband Mike, of Monett; eleven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Terry Kingrey, of Aiken, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Sue Hughes, of Neosho, Doralee Kingrey, of Republic; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Barbara, Ray was preceded in death by his son, Randy Kingrey; and two brothers, Robert Kingrey and Ronnie Kingrey.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the Monett Church of the Nazarene with Chris Carver, Josh Lien, and Ron Howerton officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10th at the White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Monett Church of the Nazarene and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
