(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Alice M. Harper, age 63, of Joplin, MO passed away on January 3rd, 2025 after a brief illness.
Alice is the daughter of William and Donna (Clark) Plemmons, born on April 12th, 1961 in Joplin, MO.
She worked for Eagle Picher as a soldering technician for 45 years and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Alice loved traveling to Hawaii, going on cruises, and going to Tunica Mississippi to the casino with her daughter Mary and friends. She loved spending time at the lake with family and going hunting for morel mushrooms. She never met a stranger, and she devoted her life to her family and friends. Even in death she is continuing to help others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Donna Plemmons; one brother, Larry Plemmons; one grandson Micheal Wetherell.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Harper; three children, Lee Harper, Mary Wetherell, and Billie Harper; one brother, Steven Plemmons; one sister, Glenna Plemmons; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Service will be held at 7:00pm, Thursday, January 9th at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 6:00pm. Burial will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 11th at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Greenfield, MO.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Lafayette House of Joplin.
