(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Diana Colleen (Harshman) Alleshouse, age 70 of Galena, passed away at 10:42 PM on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO.
Diana was born on June 28, 1954 in Joplin to the union of Reuben Delvey Harshman and Colleen Leatha (Mattison) Harshman. She graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1972. She worked as a scrub tech at St. John's Hospital in Joplin for 12 years, as a manager at Casey's General Store in Galena, as an owner/operator of a sno-cone stand, and as a truck driver for many years.
She enjoyed crocheting and was very generous in her charitable giving. Together, these two interests led her to craft handmade octopus dolls as a gift to NICU babies at area hospitals. She enjoyed reading, and had been a church member and board member at Park Hill Church of the Nazarene for many years.
She was united in marriage with William E. "Bill" Toney III on May 27, 1972 at Park Hill Church. To this union were born three children. They later divorced. She later married Delmer K. Alleshouse on April 1, 1988 in Miami, OK. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1989.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Colleen Harshman; one grandchild, Josie Whitaker; and longtime partner, George Doty.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Toney (wife, Pam) of Galena, and David Toney (wife, Samantha) of Quapaw; one daughter, Christina Whitaker (husband, Lee) of Galena; two brothers, Gary Harshman (wife, Carol) of Bartlett, TN, and Mike Harshman (fiancé, Rose Fields) of Galena; two sisters, Carol Clyburn (husband, Mike) of Galena, and Cathy Paddock (husband, Richard) of Galena; ten grandchildren, Briana, Tamika, Matthew, Jamie, Skyler, Douglas, Nicholas, Courtney, David Tackett, and Alisha Sherrill; and five great-grandchildren, Harper Grace, Avery, Oliver, Ezra, and Aurora.

Ms. Alleshouse has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. The family will host a memorial service at Park Hill Church of the Nazarene at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Pastor Larry Doty will officiate.
