Nancy Russell

Nancy Lee Russell, age 79, Seneca, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Mercy of Joplin.

Nancy was born November 14, 1945 in Elizabethtown, NY, daughter of the late Napoleon Boyd Sousie and Lillian Loretta Ann (Dennis) Sousie. She grew up in Elizabethtown and Troy, NY where she graduated from high school. 

She worked many jobs over the years in New York, but was mainly a mother who loved her children very much. She was always looking out for her family, and enjoyed spending time with her 20 siblings and their children. She moved to Seneca in 2021. She will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by 14 siblings, a husband, Donald “Beanzy” Allen, and two sons, Donald and Kenneth.

Survivors include her children, Holly Brewer of Seneca, MO, Rickey Allen of Troy, NY, Kathy Allen also of Troy, Crystal Curtis (Jeremy) of Tamarac, NY, and Linda Allen Goddard of AZ; siblings, Barbara, Chris, Dean, Lisa, Linda, and Mary; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Parker Mortuary with interment of her ashes to take place in New York with her family at a later date.
