Calvin Goodnight

Calvin Goodnight passed away at home on December 23, 2024 after a lengthy battle of multiple myeloma. He was born to Thurman and Ethel Goodnight on August 2, 1953 in Newton County, Missouri.

On July 30, 2004, Calvin married the love of his life, Vicki Lynn Powell, and is survived by her children Kerri Fort, and Seth Richardson and two granddaughters, Avery Willis Buck and Kamdyn Fort.








Clavin was avid mechanic and enjoyed working on cars. Calvin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Granby and was active in the church. He drove the church van as well as helped with vacation bible school.

Calvin enjoyed working outside bush hogging, mowing, and gardening. He retired from Allen’s trucking.

He survived by one brother Clarence Goodnight and one sister Lorene McGill and husband Ron, several nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and lots of friends.

Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vickie, four brothers Donald, JR, Gary, and Frankie Goodnight and five sisters Margie McLaughlin, Bonnie Wolfe, Zelda Glasgow, Clora Faye Jones, and Silvia Goodnight.








A Memorial Service will be held on January 18, 2025 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church of Granby. Russ Johnson will officiate. A time of fellowship and visitation will be held in the fellowship hall following the service.
