(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Eva M. Bartlett, age 94, of Joplin, MO passed away on January 7, 2025 after a lengthy illness.
Eva is the daughter of Herman and Thelma (Conner) Hoffman, born on March 31, 1930 in Gentry, AR.
She met and married Bob Bartlett on June 7, 1947 after he returned from serving in the Navy during WWII South Pacific in the Philippines.
Eva was an artist and loved oil painting and loved art. She worked at JC Penney’s where she received ‘good customer service’ awards and at Oak Hill hospital after which she retired.
She attended classes at Joplin Junior College and then studied Real Estate at MSSU where she obtained her Unit Coordinator certificate.
She attended Faith Assembly of God, Calvary Baptist, and was finally a member of Forest Park Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Bartlett; parents, Herman and Thelma Hoffman; three brothers, Joe Hoffman, Fred Hoffman, and Herman Hoffman.
Eva is survived by two daughters, Kim Fernandez (Richard) and Linda Gripka; five grandchildren, Amber Hill, Tyler Hill, Austin Fernandez, Mike Bartlett, Melissa Vantrese; six great-grandchildren, Rylan Hicks, Rowan Hill, Gabe Bartlett, Sara Vantrese, Libby Vantrese, Justice Armstrong.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, January 10, 2025 at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:00am.
