(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Joan Lee, a beloved sister in Christ, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, while living with her grandson, Jason, and his wife, Jennifer, in Alvin, Texas. Born on May 23, 1941, in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, Joan’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to God and her family.
Joan was the mother of three children: Ron, Cindy, and Wendell. She was preceded in death by her sons, Ron and Wendell, but her love for them endured beyond their passing. Her devotion to her family was evident in the love and care she poured into her role as a homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment filled with comfort and joy.
Joan’s unwavering faith in God was a cornerstone of her life. She found strength and solace in her belief, and her faith guided her through life’s challenges. She studied God’s word every day she was able.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy; her grandchildren, Jason, Ross, and Sasha; many friends and extended family members; and her brother, Carroll. She was predeceased by her parents, Alvin and Lillian Tyler, who instilled in her the resilience we all know her for, as well as four brothers and five sisters.
Joan’s legacy is one of love, strength, and a proper fear of the Lord. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind cherished memories by so many that will not long be forgotten.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Joan’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Osborne Memorial Cemetery at 10:00. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.
