Joey Presley

Joseph “Joey” Glenn Presley, age 24, of Joplin, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.

Joey was born on May 7, 2000 in Joplin, MO to Michael Presley and Laura Owen. He was a lifetime resident of the Joplin area. He attended Joplin High School before starting his career at Net Watch, where he worked hard as a technician. 

His life was marked by the love for having fun, joking around, and savoring good food with friends and family. Joey loved spending time with his girlfriend, Kerissa, and his dog, Apollo. His hobbies included: fishing and being on the water, playing video games with his friends and building legos. Joey's ability to find joy in every moment will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Joey is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sondra Whited; great-grandmother, Dolores Bull; and great-grandfather, LLoyd Wingo.

Joey is survived by his grandparents, Poppy and Nana Wingo; father, Michael Presley (Sarah Jenness); mother, Laura Owen; girlfriend, Kerissa Thomas; brother, Hayden Presley and fiancé, Brynna Cupp; two sisters, Kaylee Owen and Aubree Owen; two step-sisters, Hope Fortuck and Hayden Cauthon; five aunts, Lyndsey Conness and husband, Jared, Lisa Beckham and husband, Mike, Angie Cline, Ami Howell and husband, Travis, and Theresa Woods and husband, Tom; cousins, RiLynn Conness, Keagan Conness, Brayson Conness, Braxton Conness and many more; and one loyal companion, Apollo.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made out to the Joplin Humane Society in honor of Joey.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at One Church Joplin.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at One Church Joplin with pastor Shane Munn officiating. Interment to follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
