Betty Hayes

(From Parker Mortuary)

Betty Ann (Franks) Hayes went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 16, 2025.

She was born in Pine City, Minnesota, on February 1, 1954, to Beulah Helen Enos Franks and John Beuford Franks.

She was a wonderfully gifted and talented person. She held jobs that showcased her creativity, including being a florist, a hairdresser, and an artisan. She was a singer and a poet.

She charmed everyone she met, and she made everyone laugh. She was kind, thoughtful, and giving. And she always fought for the underdog and the oppressed.

She married her soulmate, Albert Hayes, twice. They shared a natural wanderlust and traveled all over America together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Douglas Franks; and her sister-in-law, Diana Farm-Franks.

She is survived by her sister, Faith Franks; her nieces and nephews; and a multitude of family and friends across America.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Minnesota at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Souls Harbor of Joplin, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.

A lifetime of Beauty

By Betty Ann Hayes

Darkness falls and I am alone with my memories.

They are clear, concise, and colored by the

Love I hold for all the people in them.

They are true and wondrous.

I am blessed.
