Joann E. King, age 76, of Joplin, MO passed away on April 11th, 2025 surrounded by family and loved ones. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Joann was born on May 16th, 1948 in St. Louis, MO to her parents, Joseph E. and Charlotte B. (Ledder) Tallent. She married her husband, Joe E. King on October 21st, 1999. She worked for General Motors delivering stock for many years prior to retirement.
She enjoyed candy making, baking pies, and making picture puzzles. She never said goodbye, she always said I love you and I will see you later.
Joann married her husband, Joe E. King on October 21st, 1999 and precedes her in death. Additionally, she is preceded by her parents; one daughter, Josephine Winkler; her fiancé, Bill Brockman who passed away on December 15th, 2024; four brothers, Wayne Tallent, Timothy Tallent, Terry Talent, and Lawrence Tallent; one sister, Rosie Tallent.
She is survived by one sister, Suzie Tallent; two children, Joanna Sanders, and Al Schultz; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 22nd at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with a visitation to be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am. Burial will be held at Carl Junction cemetery immediately following the service.
