Steven Leroy Snyder of Miami, OK passed from this life Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK. He was 76.

Steven was born June 5, 1948 in Auburn, IN to Melvin Joseph and Icle Marie (Hill) Snyder. He had lived in Ottawa County, OK area for 25 years, moving from Cherokee County, KS.

Steven had worked for Crossland Construction Company in Columbus, KS as a welder and brick mason.

 

He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Deborah Denise Buckallew, his parents and 3 sisters, Geneva Crowder, Shelly Boch and Cindy Crosby.

Steven is survived by4 sons, Steven Joseph Snyder and his wife Stephanie, Matthew J. Snyder, Ronald Snyder and his wife Jackolyn and Donald Snyder and his wife Storm Vaughn all of Kansas, 2 daughters, Penny Littlefield of Miami, OK and Barbie, grandchildren, Haley Randall and her husband Ryan of Miami, OK, Danielle Sampson of Seneca, MO, Tyler Buckallew and his wife Rachel of Miami, OK, Perry Sharp and his wife Bonyta of Miami, OK, Holly Snyder of Miami, OK, James Snyder of Miami, OK, Christopher Snyder and his wife Allison, Shaylene Snyder, Shannon Snyder, Miranda Snyder and Magan Snyder all of Kansas as well as several other grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at First Christian Church in Miami, OK with Pastor Brandon Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Elm Cemetery, north of Columbus, KS with Ronald Snyder, Donald Snyder, Steven Snyder, Matthew Snyder, Christopher Snyder and James Snyder serving as pallbearers.
