James White

(From Clark Funeral Home)

James Mace White of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born on June 8, 1947, in Compton, California, James was the son of Bruce White and Wilma Gertrude Marion. He graduated from Neosho High School and after serving in Vietnam went on to attend Crowder College and graduate from Missouri Southern State College.

James worked for the Missouri Division of Family Services and Department of Health from 1978 until his retirement in 2003. He was a dedicated public servant and a proud lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also an active member of Neosho United Methodist Church.

On May 1, 1970, he married Anna Keeling, who survives him. Together, they shared a life rooted in love and mutual support.

James had a deep affection for animals—especially cats—and was a loyal supporter of local shelters. He enjoyed collecting vintage painted-label soda pop bottles and found joy in preserving their history.

Private family services will be held to celebrate James’s life.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James’s memory to Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Neosho, Missouri.
