(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Fynn Schroeder Courtney, age 6 years and 1 month, finished his race where he found the arms of his loving savior, Jesus Christ. Fynn closed his eyes on earth one last time to open them for an eternity on April 14th, 2025.
Fynn lived big and he loved big. He has always been larger than life. One friend stated that he lived 9 lives. He was a D1 athlete, a break dancer, a farmer, a worship leader, a comedian, a vandal, an evangelist, a gamer, and a builder. He loved running and playing outside with his brother, Luke. He loved dinosaurs, riding his bike, and throwing a ball, but most of all, he loved Jesus. Fynn loved to worship Jesus in songs, he called them his God songs. Waking up to Fynn singing, “I’m gonna see a victory…” will always be one of our most cherished memories. He lived big.
Fynn could make friends anywhere. He loved to make people laugh and would come up with some silly antic to bring about joy in others. He gave the best hugs (sometimes even with a lick). He loved his family: his older siblings always brought him great joy, playing with his cousins, going on adventures with his grandparents, and just snuggling on the couch with us. He also valued his church family and often saw it as his second home. He loved big.
Fynn is preceded in death by generations of faithful loved ones now embracing him in Heaven.
Fynn is survived by his mother, Meghan, his father, Shaun, his older siblings: Zane, Zoey, Cade, and Luke, his grandparents, Gary and Debbie Schroeder and Larry and Rebecca Courtney and a great grandparent, Lena Marlin as well as several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Fynn will always be missed by so many that encountered him, but we know that this is not a goodbye but simply” see you later.” We are forever changed by the blessing of our beloved son, Fynn. We will choose to live big and love big in honor of him.
A celebration of Fynn’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Connection Point Church, 700 Sycamore St, Monett, at the Pavillion. Being the service is outdoors, as Fynn would want, all are invited to bring a lawn chair. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Fynn Courtney Memorial Fund in care of First State Bank. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.

This is so heartbreaking. We are not suppose to bury our children. Prayers for his family and friends.i believe that God has a special place in Heaven for his little ones.
