(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Billy Junior Cummings of Miami, OK passed from this life Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw, OK. He was 90.
Billy was born November 11, 1934 in Longmont, CO to Henry Virgil and Desta Viola (Bennett) Cummings. He had lived in the Miami area for many years including Picher and Cardin as well as Seneca, Hart and Tiff City, MO. He graduated from Seneca High School in Seneca, MO in 1952. He was a steel fabricator for Missouri Steel in Joplin, MO for 34 years and a member of Hart Assembly of God Church in Hart, MO.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife Reva Cummings in 2012, 1 daughter Janice Howell, his parents, 2 brothers, Donald Cummings and Gary Cummings and 1 sister, Doris Scribner.
Billy is survived by 1 son, Rusty Cummings of Hollister, MO, 3 daughters, Karen Rice of Maryville, MO, Marilyn Cummings of Springfield, MO and Beverly Stumler of Charlotte, NC, 3 sisters, Virgie Curtis of Miami, OK, Geraldine Plummer of Owasso, OK and Carolyn Yocum of Seneca, MO, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Virgil Sherwood will officiate. Interment will be in Seneca Cemetery on the Oklahoma side. Cheyenne Cummings, Dusty Cumings, Gary Cummings, Erin Dial, Rusty Cummings and Ian Stumler will serve as pallbearers. Brent Brassfield, Brian Brassfield, Doug Scibner, Jim Cummings and Cody Cummings will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home chapel in Miami, OK.
