(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Stephen Lee Goldman, age 79, of Joplin, MO., passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 following an illness.
Stephen was born on March 8, 1946, in Kansas City, MO., the son of Milton and Bessie (Nelson) Goldman. Stephen proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he worked at Eagle Picher for many years. Stephen was a member of Villa Heights Christian Church.
He is survived by his daughter; Joane Newman of Carthage, MO., two grandsons; Kyle Newman of Carthage and Scott Patrick of Carthage, his two great grandchildren; Kyson Newman and Kaliyah Newman, and by his significant companion, Dixie Kenny.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City, MO. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
