Gale Wade

Gale Lynn Wade, age 76, of Joplin, MO died tragically on Wednesday, October 21, 2025 due to a motor vehicle accident in Carthage, MO.

Gale was born on May 28, 1949 in Joplin, MO to the union of H.E. Wade and Juanita Wade. He attended Waco Grade School growing up and graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1967. He then went on to join the United States Navy and serve in the Vietnam War. 








After returning home, Gale married Glenda Jones on May 10, 1975 in Joplin, MO. To this union three children were born, Jeremy, Courtney and Tracy. Together they were blessed with 50 years of marriage before Gale’s passing. He worked for the Joplin Post office from 1970 until 2005. To this day, he was still an active member of the Postal Union, attending annual conventions and food drives. 

After retiring from the Joplin Post Office, he worked for Covert Electric Supply from 2005 until his passing in 2025. Gale was an active member of the Joplin Elks Lodge. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and cooking for his family. His love for the outdoors was evident in his frequent camping trips to Roaring River and Indian Creek Campground at Beaver Lake, where he made countless memories with his family. He enjoyed watching baseball games and going to deer camp every Fall. Gale’s Friday night dinner group with his lifelong friends and weekly beers with “the boys” were the highlights of his week, filled with laughter and camaraderie. Known for never having met a stranger, Gale could strike up a conversation with anyone. He leaves behind his two loyal companions, Montana and Lola.

Gale was preceded in death by his father, H.E. Wade; sister Ginger Alexander; and three fur babies, Roxy, Coco, and Daisy.








Gale is survived by his wife, Glenda Wade, of the home; three children, Jeremy Wade and fiancĂ©, Caliegh Jo, of Grove, OK, Courtney Whitten and husband, Jacob, of Centerton, AR, and Tracy Carpenter, of Webb City, MO; five grandchildren, Jace Fleury, of Ozark, MO, Keaton Neil and wife, Sidney, of Mathis, TX, Kayden Baker and fiancĂ©, Evan, of Carthage, MO, Jaxon Whitten, of Centerton, AR, and Skyla Whitten, of Centerton, AR; mother, Juanita Wade, of Joplin, MO; one brother, Gary Wade and wife, Robyn, of Joplin, MO; one sister-in-law, Janet Jesse and husband, Bud, of Tulsa, OK; and three brother-in-law’s, Darrel Jones and wife, Cheryl, of Baxter Springs, KS, Tom Alexander, of Joplin, MO, and Jeff Jones, of Joplin, MO.

Services to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to The Joplin Humane Society or the Wounded Warrior Project in Gale’s name.

Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
