Joan Harms, 78, passed away October 17, 2025. She was born May 22, 1947, in Webb City, Missouri. Her parents were Don Bull & Marjorie Ervin Bull. She graduated from Webb City High School, Friends University and Nazarene University.
She married George Leonard April 30, 1972. She worked at Midland Brake, Kustom Electronics, Honeywell, Harley Davidson and was Platte County Clerk for one term. Early in her work career, she and her husband owned Top Wire Line, an oil company.
She enjoyed cooking, traveling, going to church, and growing flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Lee Leonard, her husband of twenty years, Vernon Harms and her sister, Patricia Leger, her grandchildren, Samantha Leonard and Jackson Leonard. Also, two stepdaughters, Kendra Harms and Kristina Freeman and two bonus grandchildren, Alexis Freeman and John Freeman.
Memorial services will be at Christ Chapel 15275 92 Highway Platte City, Missouri on Saturday October 25, 2025, at 10:00am. Visitation at 9:00am.
Instead of flowers, contributions to Christ Chapel as a Memorial to Joan would be appreciated.
