(From Parker Mortuary)Morris Ray Campbell, 84, of Joplin passed away October 2, 2026, at his home. He was born on May 15, 1942, in Joplin to the late George and Sylvia (Ackerson) Campbell.
He married Sharon Lee Younger in April of 1965. Together, they built a home and raised their two sons in Joplin.
Morris worked at Missouri Steel Castings in the '70s and '80s until an illness forced him to retire. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.
Morris is survived by son, Dennis Campbell (Joy), grandchildren; Racheal (Matthew), Brent (Vikki), Jonathan (Paige), Fynn "Elizbith", Kayla (Scilar), Shelby (Elijah), and Keaton (Avery); Great grandchildren, Angelis, Nivek, Sabbath, Kenlee, Theodore, Margaret, Lindsey, Oliver, Mia, Hudson, Zeke, and Elliot; and great-great-grandchildren; Faina and Clovis.
Along with his parents, Morris is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, brothers; Hughey, Eddie, Lonnie, Jerry, sister; Jeannie, son Kenny Campbell and daughter in law Yvonne.
A Private Family Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. A committal of ashes will take place Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00am at Osborne Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri, to honor and lay Morris to rest.
Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
