Dorothy Patton

Mrs. Dorothy Esther Patton, 77, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, departed this life on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Dorothy entered this life on Thursday, September 7, 1944 in Carthage, Missouri, to the union of the late Paul and Selma (Frickenschmidt) Heman. She was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. 

On November 30, 1963 she was united in marriage to William David Patton at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri. Together they shared fifty-eight years of wonderful memories. 








For several years she worked for Integrity and Oxford Health Care. For forty-three years she was a devoted Avon sales representative. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing and sewing, as well as spending time with her family and friends. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Don Heman.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, David; children, Terri Wittenmeyer and husband, Mark, of Galena, Kansas and Alan Patton and wife, Peggy, of Carthage, Missouri; grandchildren, Jessica Boyden and husband ,Steve, of Lowell, Arkansas, Misty Mitchell and husband, Levi, of Diamond, Missouri and Kelsey Meyer and husband, Daniel, of Carthage, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Luke Boyden, Ember Boyden, Cooper Mitchell, Deegan Mitchell and Eliza Meyer; sister, Barbara Chandler, of Sugarland, Texas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patton are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie with Pastor Gary Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jason Pendleton, Tom Gripka, Kevin Barnard, Johnny Hankins, Mike Chandler and Chris Feather. Honorary pallbearers are Dave Lawyer and Robby Chandler. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. The family has requested memorial contributions be directed to the Sarcoxie Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
