(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)James David “Stubby” White of Crestline, KS, age 69, passed away on April 12, 2022 after living an exceedingly full life. Stubby was born in Heavener, Oklahoma on October 21, 1952 to Osbourne Jerry and Syble (Hemphill) Martine. He was a resident of the Crestline area for the last 22 years.
Stubby married the love of his life, Barbara Ellen Jacobs in 1983, and shared thirty-nine amazing years together. They raised three wonderful sons who were the light of their lives, Justin, James and Jerry.
David was a family man and loved being “Pop” to his grandchildren, more than anything. In his free time, Stubby was also an avid collector of antique items, and enjoyed taking care of the horses.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara White of the home; sons, Justin White and wife Misty of Crestline, KS; James White and wife Brandy of Afton, OK; Jerry White and wife Jennifer of Webb City, MO; grandchildren, Kaden White; Brylee White; Kenzie White; Jerry Gunner White; Elizabeth Michelle Flaming; Taylor Renee Slover; Savanna Lee Slover; Wyatt James Slover; great-grandchildren, PaisLee Harper Stoner and Hunter Glenn White.
Stubby was preceded in death by both parents.
Private family services will be held at a later date in Southeast Oklahoma.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin.
