(From McQueen Funeral Home)Daniel Thomas “Rooster” Proctor, age 70, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Joplin in Joplin, Missouri.
The son of Thomas and Betty (McDonald) Proctor, he was born June 11, 1955 in Stella, Missouri. On September 9, 1986 in Miami, Oklahoma he was united in marriage to Renee Stewart, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Tonya of Kansas City, Missouri, Mariah of Nashville, Tennessee and Danielle of Springfield, Missouri; brothers, Leroy of Waco, Texas and Tom of Webb City, Missouri; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Larry and a sister.
Daniel attended school in Stella, Missouri and East Newton, Missouri. He was a logger and raised beef cattle. Daniel enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and just being outdoors.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
