(From Lakin Funeral Home)Christopher "Scott" Smith, age 33, of Wentworth, MO passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, in Pierce City, MO. He was born in Houma, LA on Saturday, July 4, 1992; son of Ronald "Scott" Smith and Tracy (Duplantis) Smith. He was a 2011 graduate of Ellender High School in Houma, LA.
Scott enjoyed playing music, riding motorcycles, rebuilding cars, skateboarding, and eating. He looked forward to spending time with his friends. He was a wonderful electrician.
Scott had a passion for God and what He had done for him. He felt it was his obligation to help others and tried making life better for all who knew him. He gave God the credit for turning his life around. Scott had worked hard to make changes. He was so proud of his truck, being the first big purchase, he had made. Scott was a big kid with a big heart. He always had a joke and a smile for others, even strangers. He enjoyed time with family and friends. He will be missed by many!
Surviving are the following: three children, Alexander Gage, Adalynn Jayne, and Abigail Grace; father, Scott (Melody) Smith; mother, Tracy (Stan) Smith; five siblings, Colton Smith, Brent Smith, Isaac Guiterrez, Santana Smith, and Hailie Smith; grandparents, Carolyn Sue Smith and Erich and Faye Duplantis; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews; and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Smith and a niece, Peyton Smith.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Private family burial will occur at a later date in Carl Junction Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.

Man I don't even know Wat to say..... Dude u don't know how much I'm gonna miss u bro,tbh u helped me tho so much shit u always knew the thing to say and always made me smile. Save me a spot up there.. Fly High my dearest friend till we meet again. Love ya bro R.I.P Scotty
