(From White Funeral Home)Luella "Lue" Dunbar, age 73, of Cassville, passed away at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville, Missouri, on Saturday October 11th, 2025, after a long illness of Alzheimer's and Parkinsons. Daughter of Alonzo and Lucinda (Potter)Wallace. She was born on February 17, 1952, in Clever, MO.
Lue loved kids and taking care of people. She loved going dancing with her husband Jerry Dunbar, they together loved going to rodeos, concerts, racing, riding on their Gold Wing Motorcycle and she loved fishing and camping as well. She especially loved having grandkids over and cooking and playing with them.
With her husband Jerry they had 5 kids, Shannon Farris of Cassville, Shawna Mackey of Springfield, Cindy Smith, and Lloyd Mackey, and Becky Snook, of Osborne, Kansas, Casey Campbell of Springfield, Kenny Dunbar of Springfield, Kellie Ellis of Butterfield, 19 grand kids and 26 great grandkids including 2 set of twins in the bunch.
Lue worked as a CNA and Home Health Aide for Oxford Health for 15 years where she met Jerry Dunbar, her husband was a Paramedic for Mercy, they were married June 10th, 2004, and lived in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. She also previously worked at Aramark in Republic for many years. In the last 15 years Lue supported Jerry in Trucking, Car Sales and finally with Cassville Cab where she drove Cab for several years and in the final 2 years riding every day with Jerry. She loved caring for people they took to Dr Appointments.
Lue was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Lucinda Wallace, two brothers John and Ray and Rosetta (Rose) Bowman and Rose (Midge) Berry.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri. Pastor James Weaver will officiate the service, with a visitation scheduled two hours prior.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.
