Patsy Gore

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Patsy Jean Gore passed away on October 13, 2025 at the age of 85. She was born on March 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, to her parents Harvey and Opal. On July 10, 1960, she married her husband, George Gore, in her hometown of Philadelphia. They shared 64 years of marriage until his passing on June 10, 2025.

Patsy worked for many years as the principal’s secretary at Shawnee Mission South High School. Known for her dedication and strong sense of organization, she served with quiet strength in both her professional life and her roles as a devoted wife, mother, sister, Meemaw, and woman of faith.

As a preacher’s wife, Patsy supported George’s ministry with grace and steadfastness. Together, they attended Granby First Baptist Church when George retired from preaching. Though reserved by nature, Patsy’s music was her voice. A phenomenal pianist, she faithfully played at every church they served, offering her talent in worship and bringing comfort and joy to others through her music.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Crystal) Gore and Gina (Darren) Cook, both of Neosho, Missouri; and her brother, Tom (Faye) Warren of Alabama, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, and her sons, Gary and David Gore.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Granby Memorial Cemetery.

Patsy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quiet devotion, and the beautiful music through which she served others.
