John Heese, 92, of Monett went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday March 25, 2018 while staying at Lacoba Homes in Monett. He was born in Violet, Texas on March 3, 1926; the son of the late Ben F. and Hilda (Maywald) Heese. He was united in marriage on January 6, 1948 in Robstown, Texas to Lillian Krieg; she survives.
He was a retired farmer, veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II, Freistatt Lions Club, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, the Antique Car Club and was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett.
John is survived by his wife Lillian of the home; two sons: John Heese Jr. and his wife Colleen of St. Charles, Missouri, and Fred Heese and his wife (Leanna) of Kansas City, Missouri; three daughters: Frances Ann Wolf of Monett, Deborah Fritz and her husband Greg of Jefferson City, and Margie Fenske and her husband Tom of Monett; two brothers: Fr. Henry Heese of Austin, Texas, and James Heese of Santa Fe, New Mexico; three sisters: Mary Skrobarch of Stockdale, Texas, Sister Margaret Heese of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Carolyn Heman of Sarcoxie; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Rosary for John is being held on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 5:30p.m. with visitation to follow Rosary until 8:00p.m. at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services for John are being held on Thursday March 29, 2018 at 10:00a.m. at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett. Burial will follow services at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pierce City, Missouri.
Memorial donations for John may be made to the St. Lawrence Catholic School or the St. Mary’s Catholic School.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
