Don Adams

Donald L. Adams was born on January 11, 1932, in the Belfast Community of Neosho, one of six children to Laurence and Geneva (Crumbliss) Adams. He entered into rest on June 12, 2024, at his home in Neosho, at the age of 92. 

Don was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Belfast school and Neosho High School, class of 1951. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force, February 21, 1954, to February 20, 1956. 






After returning to Neosho, he worked as a machinist at Pet Milk, where he retired. Following his retirement from Pet Milk, he worked as a supervisor for Gary Cohu, Inc. and then, owned and operated a painting and fence installation business. He enjoyed going to flea markets and collecting coins, fishing gear, old tools and other objects. 

On July 17, 1965, in Neosho, Donald and Nancy Joann Chancellor were united in marriage and Nancy survives. 








Additional survivors include two daughters, Kelly Adams of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Amy Adams of Neosho; a special nephew, Benjamin Holley, additional nieces and nephews, Brad Brumit, Scott Anderson, Joe Lankford, John Bruce Lankford, Tracy Berg, Cindy Steele, Rebecca Williams and Joan Murphy and two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Chancellor and Mary Anderson. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Laureva Lankford, Bette Willis, Carol Willis, Pete Adams, and June Williams. 

Memorial graveside and military honors service will be held at 10 am, June 19, 2024, at the Belfast Cemetery, Neosho.
