William Alsop

(From White Funeral Home)

William Raymond Alsop, age 66, of Stella, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, peacefully at Medical Lodge of Neosho, Missouri.

William, son of William Wright Alsop and Charline (Haygood) Alsop was born April 17, 1958. On September 8, 1978, he married the love of his life, Stella McKinney in Beaumont, Texas.

William was a Deacon at Body of Christ in Wheaton; he was also a chairperson at the Stella City Council. He loved camping and spending time with his family in his spare time. William was very involved in the community. He was for the people, always delivered a helping hand, known as the social light in any environment or room he entered. He enjoyed telling jokes and bringing smiles. He was the best Husband, Dad, and of course Papa anyone could ask for, not only to his own grandchildren but his “adopted grandchildren” too. He loved cooking but would never pass up a hard taco!! Every Tuesday was Taco Tuesday! He loved his family and sharing the word of God more than anything. He will be greatly missed...

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Stella Alsop; one son, Jacob McKinney of Groves, Texas; three daughters, Lisa Coberley and her husband Zack of Altamond, Kansas, Mary Alsop of Stella, Missouri, and Crystal Potter of Wheaton, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Erin, Donavan, Kiley, Breanna, Braydon, Kyalynn, and Isaiah; eight great grandchildren, Brynlee, Emerie, Kenna, Everlee, Maveric, Weston, Alora, and Dean; six brothers, Ron Alsop, James Rice, Butch Rice, Jarold Rice, John Rice, and David Rice; four sisters, Susan Leblanc, Candace Kelley, Linda Rice, and Brenda Nash.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his grandson, Hayden WoodCock.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Body of Christ in Wheaton, with minister John Hile officiating and Gene Robinson reading the Obituary.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
