(From Parker Mortuary)Victory Ray Allen ‘Vic’ Taylor, age 80 of Carthage, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Carthage Health and Rehab on Friday, June 14, 2024. Vic was born on June 22, 1943 in Neosho, Missouri to the late Christmas M. and Ona Mae (Myers) Taylor.
Vic attended the school house in Spring City, Missouri and left at a young age to start working. He was mostly self-employed for most of his life and was known to be a ‘Jack of all trades’ by his family and friends. He worked for a period of time for both the city of Webb City and Baxter Springs, Kansas. His relationship with the Lord was vital to him and faithfully served at Living Water Assembly in Webb City.
Other than his parents, Vic is preceded in death by his wife, Ina P. Taylor whom he married in 1969 and she passed in 2008. Also, four children, two brothers and two sisters.
Those left to mourn his loss include his sister, Beverly Patterson of Texas; a sister in-law, Rose Taylor of Carthage; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three nieces, four nephews and many friends.
Graveside services are planned for Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Galena, Kansas.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
