Rocky Crockett

Rockwell “Rocky” Lee Crockett, 72, formerly of Lamar, Missouri, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, surrounded by his family in Whitewright, Texas.

Rocky was born on October 9, 1951, in Lamar, MO., to Robert Raymond Crockett and Betty Lou (McConnell) Crockett.

Rocky spent 50 years in the telecommunications field and was fortunate to make many lifetime friends and acquaintances. 






He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, his animals, and spending time with his family. He always had a story to share and was never without a pen or pencil so that he could draw out what he was planning and thinking about.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Vickie (Campbell) Crockett of Whitewright, Texas; sons, Kevin Rockwell Crockett and wife Marianella of San Antonio, Texas, James Andrew Crockett and wife Jenica of Springdale, Arkansas, and Robert Zachary Crockett and wife Crystal of Carrollton, Texas; daughters, Brandi Denise Nance and husband Troy of Lamar, MO., and Amanda Marie Rathman and husband Andy of Whitewright, TX; eight grandchildren, Cheyenne Harper and husband James of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Savanah Morgan and husband Matt of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Natalie Roskamp and husband Phillip of Lamar, MO., Danielle Nance of Lamar, MO., Tyler Nance of Lamar, MO., Genesis Crockett of San Antonia, TX., Cayden Crockett of San Antonia, TX., and Natalie Collins of Carrollton, TX; six great-grandchildren, Bryston Potter, Rose Harper, Weston Roskamp, Waylon Roskamp, Anthony Bowen and Atlas Bowen; his brother, Randall Crockett and his wife Susan and his sister, Roberta Belcher and her husband Rick; along with many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.








Rocky was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. ~ 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Milford Christian Church. All family and friends are invited to come and share stories and fellowship with the family.
