Peggy Brown

Mrs. Peggy Sue (Pace) Brown, 79, of Noel, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday morning, February 16, 2022, at McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.

Peggy entered this life on November 2, 1942, in Neosho, Missouri, daughter of the late Raymond Roy and Beatrice Evelyn (Tippie) Pace. She was raised in Anderson, Missouri and was a 1960 graduate of Anderson High School.







 For sixteen years, she was married to Tucker Ellis and to this union two children were born, Steve and Karen. 

After they divorced in 1978, Peggy made the decision to further her education. She attended and graduated from Crowder College School of Nursing. Prior to her nursing career at Sale Memorial Hospital in Neosho, Peggy worked for Piggly Wiggly in Anderson, the Anderson Dairy Queen and the McDonald County Assessor's Office. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, reading, cooking, traveling, fishing gardening and caring for her beloved dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Beatrice Pace; daughter, Debra Weirich; and a brother, John Pace.

Peggy is survived by her two children, Steve Ellis and wife, Patti, of Centerton, Arkansas and Karen Perry and husband, Greg, of Bentonville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Private graveside funeral services will be held at Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri, with Steve Ellis officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Chris Jones, Scott Baker, Tommie Wright, Jake Henshaw, Daniel Nichols and John Gordon. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to Joplin Humane Society c/o the funeral home.
