(From Clark Funeral Home)Phyllis Jean (Cooper) Hund of Neosho, Missouri was born May 11, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Homer Lee Cooper and Lorine (Hodges) Cooper passed away February 2, 2022.
Phyllis’s parents moved them to Oklahoma and settled in the Tulsa area where she made many lifelong friendships, Sharon Townes being her closest and dearest friend whom she loved like a sister and lost to cancer in 2019.
In 1971 on a blind date Phyllis would meet Chriss A. Hund who after two months proposed. They were married Aug 7, 1971, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and would go on to have two daughters. Their little family moved to many places such as Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and finally Missouri where they settled down in the little town of Neosho.
Phyllis loved living in the Rocky Mountain areas the most as she so enjoyed the cool weather and beautiful snow-covered mountains. Her husband’s job as a truck driver offered them the opportunity to live in a variety of places. Phyllis affectionately would often say “as long as it was near a major interstate.”
Some of Phyllis hobbies included gardening, she loved getting her hands in the soil and watching her plants grow. She also enjoyed genealogy research and learning of the history of her ancestors.
