Deloris Harding

Deloris Jean Harding, age 90, of Joplin, MO passed away on Sunday, February 19th, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.

Deloris was born March 27th, 1932 in Joplin, MO to the late Everett and Naomi (Dunn) Boyd. She was a 1951 graduate of Joplin High. 








She married the love of her life, Bill Harding, on August 9th, 1952 at First Community Church in Joplin. Together they were blessed with 70 years of marriage before her passing. Deloris owned and operated “Harding’s Pendleton” in Joplin for many years. She and Bill enjoyed drives through the Ozark area. Deloris and Bill loved to travel and were fortunate enough to travel around the world. Deloris loved being a grandma and great-grandma and spoiled her grandbabies any chance she got. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven brothers and sisters, Geraldene Moore, Henrietta Lumpkins, Everett Boyd Jr., Earlene Jones, Sharon Watson, Bobby Boyd, and Debbie Kitch; and one grandchild, Darren Lawson.

Deloris is survived by her husband, Bill Harding; two daughters, Debbie Lawson (Jay), of Lenexa, KS and Sue Coupe, of Austin, TX; three grandchildren, Bryan Lawson (Heidi), Matthew Lawson, and John Coupe; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Lawson and Will Lawson.








There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 at Parker Mortuary from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24th, 2023 at First Community Church in Joplin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Russell Willoughby officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
