(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Phyllis L. Neumeyer (Lawrence), age 94, of Carthage, Missouri passed away February 16, 2023, following a brief illness.
Phyllis was born May 19th , 1928, in Wakita, Oklahoma to Dennis and Alice Lawrence (Payne.)
Phyllis got her Associates Degree in Hutchinson, Kansas. She married her husband Paul Neumeyer on June 1st, 1948 and they were blessed with a son about a year later. After moving to California in 1964 she worked for Pasadena City College for 20 years before retiring in 1989.
After her husband's death, Phyllis moved to Carthage, Missouri where she was very active in the
church.
Phyllis is survived by her son L.D. Nuemeyer of Carthage, Missouri, and one brother, R.D. Lawrence (Joanne), of Wakita, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Alice Lawrence (Payne), one brother, Burke Lawrence, and one sister, JoAnn Lawrence (Martin.)
