Darlene Multhaup

Lois Darlene Multhaup, 78, of Pittsburg, KS died at 6:30pm on Tuesday April 11, 2023 at the Pittsburg Health and Rehab Center following an illness.

Darlene was born April 26, 1944 in Pittsburg, KS the daughter of William and Violet (Hughes) Faucett. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Arma High School. She later attended and graduated from the Pittsburg School of Beauty. 


Darlene married Ronald Lee Multhaup, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2021.








Darlene was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Pittsburg, KS. She was known to host bible studies at her home. She was a professional cake decorator; made and sold lye soap. She was an accomplished sewer, quilter, and hair styler, as well as an avid home cook who was featured as the cook of the week in the local Morning Sun newspaper.

Survivors include her children Holly Thompson and husband Scott of Frontenac, KS; Joey Adams of Joplin, MO; David Multhaup and wife Charynn of Drury, MO; and LeAnne Multhaup of Pittsburg, KS. Brothers; Terry Faucett and Don Faucett. Grandchildren Trisha Stephens and husband Britt of Sand Diego, CA, and Vincent Thompson and fiance Shelby Lands of Carl Junction, MO; great-grandchildren Oliver Stephens, Olivia Stephens, Baker Thompson, Brody Lands, and Vivian Lands.








Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers Bob & Jerry Faucett.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am Friday April 28, 2023 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Family will receive friends from 9-10:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
