Dave Gossett

David “Dave” Dean Gossett, age 83, of Diamond, MO, passed away on Friday, April 14th, 2023 at his home.

Dave was born March 7th, 1940 in Lawrence County, MO to the late Lovell Gossett and Velma Howard. He married the love of his life, Sharon Galardo, on September 17th, 1965 in Carterville, MO by Rev. Farmer. 








He worked as a welder after high school and retired from Modine Manufacturing. After retiring, he worked as a cattle rancher for many years. He was an avid Webb City Cardinal Football fan and attending most games from 1989 until he wasn’t physically able to. Dave enjoyed the outdoors, cutting wood, and raising cattle. 

He was very invested in his children and grandchildren’s athletics and attended many football, softball, and basketball games. He was known as “pops” to the grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Dave was the caretaker for the whole family and helped anybody and everybody that was in need. He was kind, generous, and caring. Dave liked to stay busy and in his mind, he never stopped even when he wasn’t able to move around too much. Dave was just one of those guys that loved to visit with people.








In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Deana Snow and Christine Martin; four sisters, Lucille Berry, Patti Thomas, Norma Gossett, and Maybelle Gossett; and two grandsons, David Holland and Dustin Holland.

Dave is survived by his wife, Sharon; two children, Rocky Gossett and wife, Faith and Dani (Gossett) Tomlin and husband, Chad Tomlin; four siblings, Gary Gossett, Ron Gossett, Rick Gossett, and Vicki Hughey; seven grandchildren, Chad Cooper, Ashley Cooper-Choate, Lindsey Gossett, Adam Gossett, McKayla Tomlin, Chadan Tomlin, and Macy Tomlin; and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be announced at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
