Jeanie Limpus

Wanda Jean “Jeanie” Limpus, of Everton, MO, departed this life on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 73.

She was born on June 30, 1949 in Springfield, MO to Fay and Alphinzeen (Brewer) Montgomery. Jeanie graduated from Everton High School. 

She was united in marriage to James Edward “Eddie” Limpus on September 17, 1966. 









Jeanie worked at Kraft Foods for many years. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and the Everton Saddle Club. Jeanie loved Alan Jackson and enjoyed his music. She enjoyed riding horses, attending to her flower gardens, and going to flea markets to purchase antiques. Jeanie most of all loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Fay and Alphinzeen Montgomery; her husband Eddie Limpus; and one sister, Shirley Hurd.








Survivors include her son, Bruce Allen Limpus and wife Khristen; her daughter, Tami Lynn Cobb and husband Matt; one brother, Darrell Montgomery and wife Charla; one sister, Lora Sonnakolb and husband Robert; six grandchildren, Tessa Carlson, Christopher Bradford, Amber Miller, Kaylee Cobb, Paige Limpus, and Tayler Limpus; seven great-grandchildren, Carter Vallotton, Gavin Bradford, Easton Hargus, Reece Bradford, Addie Carlson, Case Miller, and Cole Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
