(From Ozark Funeral Home)Rick, 70, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, from complications of heart surgery.
Rick was born on April 20, 1953 in Ft. Hood, Texas to Jack and Ruby Flynn.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruby and a younger brother, Randy Flynn. He is survived by his brother Jeff (Sondra) Flynn of Noel, Missouri and his sister Paula Metcalf of Joplin, Missouri. Rich left many nieces and nephews and dear friends that he loved very much.
Rick went to work at the age of 19 at the G&W Food Store in Noel, Missouri which is now Harp's Food Store and worked for 47 years. He loved his job and enjoyed everyone he met and worked with. Rick enjoyed his classic country music and loved the Dallas Cowboys from a very young age. He also enjoyed going to Branson and flea markets and eating out. He was ready anytime a car was going somewhere.
A memorial service will be held on Rick's birthday on April 20, 2024 at the Lanagan Cemetery. Future information will be given closer to the time of services.
