(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Mitzi Gae Smith, 65, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Mitzi was born on May 26, 1959, in Joplin, Missouri, to Bob and Louise Smith. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage and dedicated her life to taking care of her family as a stay-at-home mom. She loved to watch her grandsons play sports, going on cruises with her girlfriends, watching Young Sheldon with Koy, and enjoyed cooking and feeding people.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kristan Frisinger of Carthage, and Brandy Frisinger of Carthage; one brother, Kip Smith (Julie) of Carthage; four grandchildren, Mitchell Frisinger, Morgan Frisinger, Mason, Frisinger, and Koy Frisinger; nine nieces and nephews, Cody, Hollen, Kayla, Abby, Maggie, Emmallee, Sadie, Macie, and Joe; and her best friend, Nancy Russow.
There will be a memorial service for Mitzi, at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Bykota Church in Carthage, Missouri.
