Mary Roach

Mary Ellen Roach, age 74, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

Mary was born December 2, 1949 in Joplin, daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Green. She grew up in Joplin and attended Joplin Schools. She was a stay-at-home mom who loved taking care of her family. 








She enjoyed fishing, going to rodeos, and Monster Truck Shows with her family. She was also a very talented craft person who enjoyed doing Plastic Canvas. She made many over the years to give to family and friends. She was an auxiliary member of the VFW Post 534 in Joplin. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching cowboy shows and movies very much. She will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Roach who passed away April 24, 2015; a daughter, Natasha Roach, and brothers, David Delaney and Richard Duncan.








Survivors include her children, Tonie Haslip and husband Rob of Carl Junction, MO, Shawn Roach, and Lloyd Duncan and wife Tae all of Joplin; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kevin Delaney and sisters, Joyce Lukens and Mable Roach; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Post #534 on North Main Street in Joplin.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
