Mitzie “Jean” Miller, 77, of Carthage, passed June 17, 2014 in Joplin.
Jean was born March 15, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ralph Hartz and Esther Bowman Hartz. Jean was a resident of Carthage since 1966; she owned and operated a local craft store on the North side of the square and the Blue and Grey café on 3rd street in Carthage.
Jean was united in marriage to Kenneth T. Miller June 5, 1955 in K.C. Missouri he preceded her in death July 31, 1993. Jean is survived by one daughter Connie Miller and Husband Norman of Neosho, MO and two sons Wayne Miller of Carthage, and Clint Miller and Wife Nancy also of Carthage, three grandchildren Clark (Shelby) Miller, Creinna Miller and Nathan Smith one great grandchild Adaleigh, one sister Evelyn Waggoner of Odessa, MO. Jean was preceded by two sisters Pat Wickman and Sue Carrol.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 Saturday June 21, 2014 at Memory Gardens in Lamar, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday June 20, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
