Peggy Joan Sandnes, age 81, of Fairview, MO died on Saturday, June 07, 2014, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt Vernon, MO. Mrs. Sandnes was born in Chepota, Kansas on Sunday, November 20, 1932. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Ruby (Ryan) Whittington. Miss Peggy Whittington married Henry Sandnes on January 19, 1957, and he preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Sandnes was a member of the Calvary Chapel Church in Monett, MO.
Surviving are the following: one daughter, Diane Schnake of Stotts City, MO; two sons, Don Sandnes of Fairview, MO and Dick Sandnes of Santa Clarita, CA; four grandsons; four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Mrs. Sandnes was preceded in death by one son, Butch, in 2006.
Friends may call after 2:00 PM on Tuesday June 10, 2012, at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO. Funeral services will be held at Lakin Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Burge officiating. Burial will follow at Dice Cemetery in Fairview, MO.
