Dorothy Hopkins

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Dorothy Anne (Tomlinson) Hopkins left us unexpectedly February 1, 2022. She was 87 years young.

She was born and raised in Thornton, Arkansas where she was an avid athlete, excelling in basketball, and graduated at the top of her class. She worked outside the home for many years at Texas Instruments, but her life passion was raising her family.

She had five children, Rev. Randy Hopkins (Vicki), Sharon Nedlo (John), Teresa Morris (Mark), and surprise twins Shelly Tanner (Evan) and Kelly Johnson (Mark). She had 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and she was immensely proud of them all. Dorothy was known as Dot to everyone and was loved by so many great friends, whom she treasured. She was hands down the very best cook and an amazingly talented seamstress.

She loved watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys and was a lifelong fan. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune and we knew not to call her while it was on! Dorothy was the most generous person on this earth and happily helped all in need.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 58 years, Albert. They had a love for the ages. We find peace and comfort in knowing that they are now together again, reunited in heaven.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Bearden, Arkansas.
