(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Beulah Rose (Vanderpool) Hall, after 87 years on this earth, celebrated a joyous reunion in heaven on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was greeted by her beloved husband, Carl Clinton "Corky" Hall, who had been waiting for her with Jesus since 1995. Also present were family members who had preceded her in death: her father and mother, Joe Vanderpool and LaTressa Vanderpool Moore; two sons, Carl Michael Hall and Jimmy Ray Hall; a brother, Jerry Vanderpool; and a sister, Wanda Dougan.
She temporarily leaves behind a family who adores her, including two daughters; Linda (and Tim) Shallenburger and Margie (and Jim) Bugni; a son, Joe (and Sherri) Hall, and a daughter-in-law, JoEllen Hall; as well as 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Rose was born on February 19, 1934, in Galena, Kansas and attended Galena High School. She married the love of her life, Corky Hall on August 5, 1950, raising their five children in Riverton, Kansas. They spent many hours as a family in a boat on Spring River. She worked for King Louis, and then at FAG Bearing in Joplin until her retirement in 1998. She was a well-regarded member of the Apostolic Faith church where she led Sunday School classes, VBS programs, and Bible studies throughout her life.
Rose was happiest when she was doing something for someone she cared about. If "love is in the details" we can't begin to measure the depths of her love. She made countless costumes, dresses, doll outfits, cakes, paintings, and afghans for family and friends. Her attention to detail was unparalleled, and she knew exactly where to place a button, accent or switch for maximum impact. She was kind, creative, strong and strong-willed. When she decided, she was going to do something, there was no stopping her. She was a seamstress, designer, baker, gardener, crocheter, artist, and all-around handywoman. She could square dance, waterski, whistle, decorate cakes, and write like a professional calligrapher. She raised five children (including the 3 Hall boys!) She laughed easily, loved deeply, prayed endlessly. Her life was full of family, love, and joy.
We are so happy she is healed and with her Savior, but grieve the hole it leaves in our lives. She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Sister, aunt, and friend.
Someday, we will celebrate our own reunion and join the joyous party in heaven. For now, we will celebrate her life and love on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Apostolic Faith Church in Baxter Springs, Kansas at 10 am.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home Baxter Chapel.
