(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)William Evans, age 69, of Carthage, Missouri passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022 surrounded by friends and family. He was a resident of the area since 1974. He was born July 9, 1952, in Riverside, California to Garfield and Velma Dee (Brewster) Evans.
He attended Bluefield High School, in Bluefield WV. He graduated in 1971 and enlisted in the military. He later went to Franklin Technology school, where he became a certified machinist.
He worked 25 years for Cope’s Carpet, as a carpet installer and 20 years for Greg Galbraith flooring and Paint. William loved to fish and had a passion of hunting for arrowheads. He also enjoyed farming, and horseback riding.
He is preceded in death by his parents Garfield and Velma Dee, and a sister Krystal Berryman. He is survived by his wife Janine Evans, his two children; Christopher Evans and Micah Evans, stepchildren; Robert Sanders, Ryan Sanders, and Jenna Riley, and three siblings; Mark Evans, Vicki Glasgow and Robin Dutra.
A public visitation will be held at Mason-Woodard Mortuary on Thursday, February 10, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
